4A Desiccant Molecular Sieve

Molecular Sieve type 4A is an alkalialuminosilicate; it is the sodium formof the Type A crystal structure. 4Amolecular sieve has an effective poreopening of about 4 angstroms(0.4nm). 4A Molecular Sieve willadsorb most molecules with a kineticdiameter of less than 4 angstromsand exclude those larger. Suchadsorb-able molecules includesimple gas molecules such as oxygen,nitrogen, carbon dioxide and straightchain hydrocarbons. Branched chainhydrocarbons and aromatics areexcluded.
